All about me!
I work from a person-centred perspective as I believe that everyone is worthy of being treated as an individual and in doing so this allows my clients to talk freely. The initial assessment session helps to establish the difficulties that a prospective client is dealing with, and It also serves as an opportunity to look at what the client is wanting to achieve from the counselling and to make certain that both client and counsellor feel comfortable working together within a therapeutic relationship.
I have experience working with both adults and young people of all ages and I endeavour to provide a safe, friendly and confidential environment with a non-directive approach to enable my clients to feel at ease within the counselling process.
I am DBS cleared, insured and adhere to the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) Ethical Framework (2018), supervision recommendations and hold professionally recognised counselling qualifications.
