Young people and children

For young people I offer counselling within the school environment as well as on a private basis. These counselling session progress through play or creative activities such as drawing, clay work, sand trays and painting which can help young people to open up and explore their worries and emotions. When young people start counselling I recommend that come for at least 3-4 sessions to see if they feel comfortable working with me.

Having worked within the education sector for over 20 years I have gained extensive experience working with young people of all ages, as a teaching assistant and SenCo having supported many young people through numerous difficulties. In addition, I have been involved with the Scouting and Guiding Associations for many years and I am currently a leader within two Girl Guiding Units.

Young people can feel overwhelmed or experience many issues or events in their lives that can make them unhappy and anxious.
